I’ve fallen off the face of the earth..

20Feb09

Well, just until Sunday. This week has been non-stop chaos and my posts have been left in the dust! Come Sunday, I will be free as a bird and back to my almost daily postings. I have been stockpiling a huge list of things that I would like to feature… Here is a highlight to tide you over!

Pierre Frey, the French textiles company, is one of my favorite sources for fabrics. The line is huge and they have a range that consists of a little bit of everything: traditional French damasks, the super luxe line Fadini Borghi, original Toiles de Jouy, very contemporary patterns and colors, and even a budget- friendly line. This week in Chicago, Pierre Frey celebrated their recent arrival at the Holly Hunt showrooms. They also used the party to introduce new items for each line (a total of almost 1000 SKUs.. something they have never done before!). As soon as I receive my fabric samples I’ll post photos of the new and yummy items. One of the highlights of their Winter 2009 introduction is the more budget friendly section of their line: most are in the $40/yard range, ultra durable and come in really exciting, wild colors…. Again, I’ll post photos soon. Trust me, textured greens, vibrant pinks and some really stand out patterns are coming your way soon.

Visit their site www.pierrefrey.com for the full story on the company (run by Patrick Frey and his charming son Pierre). You can also see some of their offerings in textiles, furniture and lighting.
