Is your fireplace festive?

16Dec10

Christmas is only a week away. Some of you have had your house, mantle, door and tree decorated for weeks. For the rest of us who have maybe a few tree sprigs and a strand of lights up, some good inspiration and even better suppliers are needed. I’ve been browsing the web today looking for some great ideas to get my fireplace mantle looking festive. While I cull my favorite inspirations I wanted to share with you one of my favorite resources! Chalet Nursery & Gardens.

They have everything you’ll need for holiday decorating, from sprigs to add to floral arrangements to mulling spices to brew while you decorate your tree chosen from their huge tree yard. On the corner of Lake St and Skokie Valley Blvd in Wilmette — check them out!

Tree tips – available in every variety you could think of. Create your own wreath, swag or just add to a floral or tabletop arrangement.

Bushels of berries, acorns, sprigs

From elegant to whimsical… and everywhere in between, if you’re looking for something to put on your tree you are sure to find it in one of the many rooms.

I was hungry, so of course the dessert ornaments drew me in.

Pillows, planters, candles and all sorts of gift options for your last minute shopping…

And… in case you didn’t believe. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and he does have reindeer. Two of them are currently resting in Wilmette before their big night.

(Mildly camera shy, but yep, those antlers are real!)
